Once again my thanks to you two. The answer should have been obvious to me but it was your mention of what I should see in
Adobe Reader which was the clue. When the document opened I had not had the menu options you both mentioned. Then I saw it had opened in PDF Viewer and I could not find Adobe Reader. It had gone missing during the recent new HDD installation and I had not spotted that and hence had not re-installed it.
The good news is that I've downloaded it and it opened the docs and printed them without hitch.
