Beginner photograhy guides

As this is the part of PhotoRadar forum that most beginners refer to I thought I would mention a couple of things about photography guide books to help you on your way.

Firstly, in the 'General Photography Discussion' forum above you will find a thread 'What is your favourite photography book?' in which experienced forum members recommend various photographic books. The books are generally in two categories:- instructional books and books featuring the works of great photographers. Both categories are recommended reading to progress as a photographer.

One book I can particularly recommend to you is Michael Freeman's 'The Photographers DSLR Pocketbook'.

Why? Well, the author is widely respected, the book is extremely well written and well illustrated on 250 pages of quality paper, it covers all you could possibly want to know but is easy to read, it is small enough to carry around with you almost everywhere and, best of all, it is available for just £5.92! here and at other online booksellers. It is an unmissable bargain.

Of course, when you are near a computer there are also many excellent tuition videos on this PhotoRadar site

Happy reading

Bump
