The shot was high on my list, and as usual choosing a photograph is often subjective, with so many good entries.
The image may have been more imposing as a square cropped shot showing the whole clock in full, or taken in portrait with more wall showing at the bottom (in the same way that picture mountings look better with more of the mount on view at the base of the image). The title did not quite work with the shot for me either, simply as tick tock always suggests to me the pendulum swinging to and fro, and The Sound of Time may have been more apt.
As usual , there were good entries all round and with all competitions its often down to luck in striking the right chord.
