I can only agree with Andy.
This is the third time I have entered this competition, and the first time I had one picture with two votes and one comment, and one with just one vote. I had only just bought my first digital camera then.
I have come quite a way since then and have learnt a lot by just looking at other people's photographs. There are plenty with the 'Wow Factor' and a lot that do nothing for me. Judging photographs is always a bit personal, apart from the technical side of things, you like it or you don't.
In a competition this size, there are so many entries, that a lot of brilliant pictures are probably not seen by most people. Do you look at other people's photographs? If you see one that takes your fancy, do you say so and vote?
If not, try it and get more involved. Everyone likes to get feedback, so this should not be a one-sided affair.
I had a quick look at your pictures (I had not seen them before) and they look smashing, but are mainly fashion shots. It may be that people who do not 'do' fashion (I am one of them) simply do not look in that category. I think you are doing very well, by the way, and have gathered quite a few votes.
Do I sound too much like 'Nanny knows best'? If so, I apologise.
(This is the longest post I have ever placed on a website!)
