7D too expensive for what it offers
I was very disappointed when reading the specs of the 7D.Its speed of 8fps versus 6,5 fps on the 40D compared with a giant price difference and not even being a full frame camera, makes me ask who this camera is aimed at.
In Norway with fairly similar pricing to Britain, the 7D costs only 150 pounds less than Nikon's D700 which is a full frame camera and with speed enough for most action shots. Among Canon's own range, the toughest competition is the 40D and the 50D, both much cheaper than the 7D. The 40D can still be picked up at about 550 - 570 pounds new.
So should I look for a camera in the price range of 1600-1700 pounds, I would certainly not go for the 7D unless it was a full frame camera, but it's not and has nothing more outstanding to offer except for a double processor which in my opinion doesn't justify such a price. I was very surprised to see this new release by Canon, a camera that falls behind the competitions in every way.
