Real ND Grads are expensive, you have to remember to take them with you, they are cumbersome and require a special filter mount, they can get scratched, they have to be kept clean etc etc.
I love the effect my ND Grads give but my latest lens the 14-24 f2.8 has no facility for fitting filters!!!! and it a wide angle !!!! so I'm inventing one just now, I'll post pics once I've completed it I'm sure it will be very handy and its cheep to make.
