Welcome to the forums. We have seen the dual albums show up before. From a technical standpoint, it just means that something in the database is inconsistent. This usually resolves itself in a few hours.
The idea of being able to track comments you made is a good one. I do not recall if anyone had made it before. It would be an easier way to track down photos that you liked.
