What do we see here at that photograph?
I recall my memories going back to the years when as teenagers we started exploring life, relationships and the world around us. We were a group of friends travelling together. MK had a Canon and he liked gadgets, he still does. I had an OM10 and then an OM4. On the way back, a Saturday night, we had a slide show with about 100 photographs from our trip. We made slides because in this way the photographs kept their original light and color. That also helped our Saturday night meetings. PP was responsible for music, he still does this at the radio once a week. DR was responsible for the drinks, wine and beer. DP, she liked cinema. I was giving names and roles to all wonderful and respectable, unknown people, whom we photographed (after giving their permission of course). Lights off. Action. At the beginning, they were asking me to narrate our photographs, but as time passed, each one of us tried a different approach. The most unusual description, realistic though, earned a warm clapping. We watched all together “The big chill” at the local cinema. Our life at that period was something like that. I miss those days, but most of all I miss Zoe’s spaghetti with tomato sauce, basil and some drops of unconcern. Delicious.
Photography is memories…it is emotions…it is a language.
I see one very nice photograph or image and I start to imagine, imagine, “Imagine” with John Lennon.
Have a nice weekend. αR
