Be good to see what the sigma produces as I have been tempted at times myself to go for it. Despite the negative press sigma get for QC issues I have to say that the 3 I own - 10-20, 105 macro and 70-200 are all really good and sharp. I get a sharper image at 85mm 2.8 on my siggy 70-200 than I do with my Nikon 85mm at 2.8 which staggers me. Not much in it but just shades it and the siggy is fully open at that. Just hard to justify the 50 when I already have a wonderful nikon 1.8 50mm.
I`m not even in the thinking about the theme mode yet - thinking cap on! I`m guessing with mothers day there will be a lot of flower shots and already got one of those this morning.
