You are assuming his software is the lastest version. I run Photoshop CS3 on a PC with 3ghz Intel processor and XP and also on a quad-core 2.5ghz Intel processor with Vista and there isn't much difference in Photoshop's speed. Where it does fly is in downloading files from my compact flash card.
