A Google search typing in 'restoring old photographs' will, I feel sure, throw up a whole host of online video tutorials - some better than others. However, depending on just how many slides you have to work on, and just how much time/committment you are willing to spend it might be worth your while buying a book on the subject. The book by Katrin Eismann - Photoshop Restoration and Retouching is one I can highly recommend and have in my collection.
