Hi WAP007.

You'll need a macro lens to focus close enough and a tripod to keep the camera steady. DX for FX won't matter because either will offer more resolution than the original slide. RL

Can I just make a point about your last remark, that the D800 requires top quality glass and technique?

I think reviewers have said these things without realising how they sound when taken out of...

I won't make any comments about Canon vs Nikon lenses, but I'm interested in this 'modification' needed for the 24mm PC-E before it can be used for landscape work? I've used them a number of times...

I have an 18-70mm, an 18-55 and a 55-200 but I've not yet checked them against each other. We are thinking about whether focal length measurement should be incorporated into in our lens tests but...

The custom AF priority settings quickly get confusing. On the D7000 you set the priority in both AF-S and AF-C modes independently, so it is possible that you've adjusted the setting in one but...

I don't know if you're planning on using bounce flash or straight, on-camera flash, but if it's the latter I'd suggest P mode and let the camera work out the flash exposure. Autofocus is a good idea,...
