Does that mean I'll get "extra" stabilization ? - also why would they add lens stabilization to a Sony fit lens?
Sorry to go on but I was sort of hoping I'd be able to buy a lens without...

image stabilization
I'm looking to buy a Sigma lens - can somebody explain what issues I will have (if any!) if there is image stabilization in both the lens and my Sony a700 body.

spent my money!
Just in case anybody is interested I managed to get a new alpha 700 body for £399 - now I've learned the "basics" I should be able to start shooting proper next weekend

I've got about £250 to spend on my first digital camera - which will give me higher quality images, an old second hand SLR or a new high spec compact.
