I have the cheaper one as it uses a 77mm filter thread (like most of my lenses) and 90% of the time I use it on a tripod at f8 or narrower so the wider aperture makes no difference

As you're asking in the pro lounge, I'd recommend lightroom as cataloguing is part of the overall workflow making the whole thing smoother and less time consuming, it's not free though I'm afraid!
