I'm keen on getting a continuous lighting set up but ive heard its not as professional can you achieve nearly the same results with a continuous set up as a strobe set up ?

Thanks for the advice! umm yes a montage but all exposures match etc.. not a David Hockney style but lots and lots of images built up, to make a larger one so yes you could call it a montage ahah :)...
