I've not seen that effect used so nicely before, I think the colours work well with it and its a lovely image as a result - would work well on canvas on a wall somewhere! :)

Its nice when people ask you to do things like that, as has already been suggested your 18-55mm will probably be the most useful, you could also use the macro for some shots of goods on stalls...
