My first attempt at Macro

These are my first attempt at Macro. Any critique is welcome :) These were taken with my Nikon D70 fitted with a manual 50mm f1.8 prime and a set of cheap extension tubes, lighting was courtesy of a double ended LED work light

Those little nifty 50's produce great detail and in conjunction with the extension tubes you have a great macro set up , fantastic shots Mark and the focus is spot on .
The only thing I would look at is the white balance as they look like they have a slight colour cast and on the subject of colour the B & W conversion is good and shows of the texture very nicely but I like the colour one's better .

Thank you Mark, im impressed with them even more so because my lighting set up was very limited. I tried to alter the white balance in lightroom but it gave a worse colour cast to them :(
I will be having another go as soon as I get chance

Why has you pencils got fur coats on? :p

Cracking shots, colours and details,. So damp weather isn't going to stop you taking pictures now. :D
