Wave Breaker
 
I took this a couple of weeks a go When I visited Cleethorpes I just loved the textures in the wood

Nice lighting and contrast,what F-stop did you use fore this shot? A ND graduated filtercould have added a bit more "drama".

I like it, well seen. Might possibly have helped if you'd had a lower viewpoint, and lost whatever that thing is half way along the left hand block of piles - incidentally separating them from the horizon, too - but you could clone that distraction out if you want. Well done.

Thank you Justin, I was at f8 using my kit lens. I had just taken my filter off the camera after capturing some sunrise images :)

Thank you Chris, Ive posted the cloned version in the OP. I usually do try to get a low shot and thinking about it I cant understand why I didnt on this occasion.

Personally, I would lighten the foreground, there is some lovely light and detail that could be enhanced. Ed.

Hi Mark , you've got a good eye for picking out a good image from the every day normal . But

Personally I think the posts take up a little too much room in the shot , I think you might get a better balance with a bit more background to enhance the feeling of space without loosing the impact of the detail in the posts .
