Help with camera selection
 

I need some advice on selecting a new camera. Due to a hand injury, I have to replace my heavy DSLR.
I will be using the camera to shoot landscapes, street and wildlife. For studio work, I can always use my heavier gear. For travel, I prefer to shoot with two camera bodies, equipped with different lenses. I wear the two cameras/lenses and normally carry a couple of other lenses in a backpack.
Mirrorless is a possibility. However I'm not sure, even with the correct lens, if that type of camera is suitable for action shots.
At this point, I don't care about the cost of the cameras or necessary lenses. I just need to find some great equipment and learn to use it as quickly as possible.

I would really appreciate any advice you might be able to offer.

Sorry to hear about your hand injury. I sympathise as I too have recently had hand/wrist problems that have affected my camera time.

I'm afraid I don't know much about camera types, but it may be worth looking at something like a Nikon P7000 or a Canon G12 or G15, or something similar. I don't have first hand experience of these cameras, but from speaking to friends that do use them, they say they are very good and have many DSLR features. May be worth a look. Sorry I cant be much more help.

I know a few pro photographers have switched over to the Fuji X-Pro 1 and seem pretty happy with them. I guess you will need to handle one in a camera shop and see how you get on.

Need to know a bit more about the wildlife shots you take. If they are moving subjects in low light then your choices are limited. It also depends on how heavy your DSLR is and wether a lighter model will be good enough? :D

I tried using a camera body that was 28.9 oz. With the added weight of a telephoto lens it became too heavy in a short amount of time, so the camera will have to weigh less than 20oz.
As for wildlife, next year I will be traveling to Africa and taking pictures in the Serengeti National Park so lighting won't be an issue. However, in the rain forest areas lighting can be an issue.

I failed to mention, that I would like the ability to enlarge photographs to 20 x 30.
