Website / Forum fail ..!
Hi all
This is my first post on these forums and know some of you via other sites! I really like the magazines but have to say that this forum and the site as a whole is confusing, non user friendly and a pain in the **** to use! Sorry to be blunt but expecting people to review galleries just does not work! Would it not be simpler to have forums by subject where members can upload images for C&C? I keep looking on here but the adverts dominate the site! Of course there is some excellent tutorials, reviews, information and member galleries etc. ... IMHO you (whoever is responsible) should look at other forums to see how they work.. Appologies again for being nagative but it's how I see it ... Steve |
Hi Splog,
I'm sorry you're not enjoying PhotoRadar at the moment, but there are indeed sections in the forum where people can upload their images for C&C if they wish, if you check down the list of forum topics, several different areas such as Landscapes and Black and White is covered. Hope that helps, Amy |
Amy, how does one link to their gallery here to show those pictures????
|
Hi donoreo,
Go to your gallery, copy the link from the address bar, then in the forum write the word you want your link to be, for example "My Gallery". Highlight the words and click on the link button (shown as a world with a link at the bottom) and paste the address from your gallery: For example: My Gallery Hope that helps, Amy |
How about the individual pic, that is what I was trying to do. The photos are not directly linked so the address bar trick does not work.
|
Apologies donoreo, I wasn't sure what you meant.
To do this, go to your image and right click on the magnifying glass above the image, when presented with a set of options click "copy link location". Come back to the forum and click the insert picture icon (displayed as a picture of a mountain with a sun above it) and paste the link in there. Example: We appreciate this is a rather cumbersome way of doing things at the moment, and we're currently looking at changing this system as we go forward. Hope that helps, Amy |
Yes, that is cumbersome. It really, REALLY should have been a primary thing when designing this site.

Yes you're right, which is why we're looking at making some important changes to the gallery system at present, please be patient while we work through the changes and of course any feedback we receive to help us get this right is always welcome.

Can I quote you to my wife? :)

Give them a break... which would you prefer; a site that's up and running and that accepts criticisms and requests, or a site that's super-polished and won't bend to the will of it's users, regardless of whether or not it needs adjustment?
