Love the slightly jaunty angle and the focus and sharpness are very good however there are a couple of things that do catch my eye . The first is the greenish colour cast ( or is that just me ) and the second is the signs of PP work round the edge of the bird , it looks a bit like you have selected out the owl to work on the background and this has resulted in a slightly false edge to the feathers .

Other than that I think it's a very nice bird portrait .

That's OK Ed ,

The image of the barn owl works really well with the handlers glove making up the foreground , it shows of the owl's talons beautifully as well .

The colouring of the owl looks darker than the barn owls I've seen , is it a specific breed .

Like the angle of the first photo, I am not a believer of birds being in captivity but you have done a good job with the 2 photo's.

Mark, I think he said it was a dark owl.
I gave the group who own them, all the pics on a disc, to use as they wished, to get funds for food etc.
