Selp Portrait

I've been playing with some off camera flash with my new flash gun and wireless triggers. A friend set me the task of recreating some kind of image, and he chose these images from the computer game "assassins creed"

and he gave me 15 minutes to do it!!!!!

Here is my attempt. All critique is welcome.

I know absolutely nothing about off camera flash units or how to use them but I know what I like when I see it and this image works really well , you seem to have just the right balance of light and dark to give your image that menacing feel .

I would darken the light front of the hoodie as it draws my eye away from the face.

I've just noticed a strange light patch on the left hand side of the hood which looks out of place as the main light source is to the right.

Yeah I've actually already done this after I posted the image. Cheers.

Which part? Left side of the picture or the left side of the hood Right side of picture)?

Thank you very much.

I know very little about off camera flash either. :) This is just experimentation, if I'm honest. You do learn quite a lot though the more you play around with it.

Left side of picture as you look at it. :)
