Red Headed Woodpeckers

This morning i went to my favorite spot to find Red Headed Woodpeckers. I was not disappointed as I found them prunning and feeding on an insect.

I prefer the first two, although they are a tad dark for my taste, if it was me I would lighten the bird and branch up in PP, also I would probably crop them a bit more on the right hand side.

Having said that they are superb shots and I I think it is the slightly sinister atmosphere that grabs me on the first two well done.

Love the second shot but I can see you had problems with the light which has resulted in a loss of detail in the shadows but still a great capture .

The first two are very well capteured and, as said about the light, you sometimes just have to seize the moment and hope for the best rather than miss the shot!
