Redeye reduction

Does redeye reduction have any effect on other pictures if it is left enabled? I use a Canon 60D

It shouldbn't do. All the red eye reduction setting does is make the flash fire a pre-flash to make the pupils contract so that the effect of red eye is reduced or eliminated. The roblem I have found with this is that sometimes the sitter will blink on thepre-flash or think that is the actual flash then move before the picture has been taken.

No all it does is fire a pre-flash to make the subjects pupils constrict so long as this early flash of light does not disturb your image it will make no differance at all

Mark, I did mean in red eye flash mode.

In that case then and as the others have said , no it won't make any difference to other images for the reasons all ready stated .
