Tricks n Tips please

Hi everyone,
Can anyone give me any tricks n tips of how to get the best out of a digital camera?
It seems I have a long way to get up to the standard of photo's on here! :(:(

That is a rather broad assignment! Taking photos with a digital or a film camera is much the same, it still relies on the photographer. How you compose a shot is the same on both.

Are their specific areas you have questions about?

I agree with Don!

Do you understands the basics of photography for example such as the exposure triangle what ISO is, Shutter speed and Aperture?

What sort of camera do you have make/model?

Don't be too dis-hartened, you can not expect to pick up a camera and instantly know what you are doing. Remember that the people on here started where you are at now. I have been photographing since April this year and merley have a Bridge camera. My photos seem to have got slightly worse, but I put that down to trying too hard.

Stick with the forum and you will pick up tips as you go.

Thanks Wil59...I am an artist and very critical of myself, but yes maybe I am being a little hard on myself...practice makes perfect!
To Dave and Donoreo....No I don't understand about ISO, shutter speed and aperature....can you explain please?

I just have a Samsung L830 digital....not many settings on it really :-/ I also have my camera phone and tablet which take okay quick portrait type shots x

Your'e asking for a great deal, probably to much to be answered on a forum. There is mountains of info on the net if you care to look, for the basics have read here.

There are not really any tricks.....you have to start at the beginning, the basics.Learn the easy bits, run before you walk so to speak. Composition and the rule of 3rd is where I would start.

thanks all x
I realise I need to start at the basics....I have until now just been using the point and click, then just deleting the bad ones.....on with the research I suppose!

Hi,

Get some basic course about the camera like ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture etc. Visit this link to get the basic information

OP...shoot a lot and do your own PP.

Lots of good books from the library and info online. Just keep blasting away.
