Lightroom Difference
Hello
I´m looking foward to buy a Adobe Lightroom 4, but im confused by all the versions. There is home Use, Teacher and student, and small bussines edition. What is the difference beetwen all of them beside the price?? |
There's no difference in the software. The standard (Home use) license is for home users and small business where the software is only in use on one computer at any time, and Education license is a discount which Adobe police quite rigidly for teachers & students only, so don't buy it unless you can prove you're one or the other. There are other schemes for multiple licenses, but I don't think that's what you want or need.

The standard license does allow for two installs (ie desktop and laptop).

And how do i prove them that im a student? I dont want to loose my money...

That's probably something that Adobe are better placed to answer than anyone else. Have you tried looking it up on their website, or do you expect someone else to do it for you? Come to think of it, that may be proof of being a student in itself. :D Chris |
I THOUGH that some of you might know and i dont have to look for it.
Still, thanks for a quick respond. |
More seriously, there are probably several ways of showing that you're a student, and checking the Adobe site will tell you which of those apply to you.
EDIT: Since I had a bit of fun at your expense, here's the Adobe UK Educational Eligibility Guide. I think there's a typo on the page - you'll be asked to submit proof or your qualifying status during checkout should surely read ...proof of your... Chris |
