D7000
Hi everyone.. I just bought a d7000 tonight!
Fired off some test shots and I love it. Now I'm in the market for a good quality but not too expensive macro (micro) lense. Any suggestions. I'm a serious amateur so it will be mainly garden / flowers and creative house shots using the lense. What other cool add ons / accessories can I convince my wife I need too? Thanks Qasim |
Glad you are pleased with your purchase.
I use the Sigma 105mm lens and am happy with it. Generally gets good results. My only criticism of the lens is that the auto focus is clumsy. Can't comment on any other macro lenses as I've never used any others. Other useful extras can include, tripod, flash, extension tubes for macro. The list is almost endless and it can get very expensive. Here is a link for the sigma, but I may be worth shopping around or even considering agood second hand lens. I've got the Tamron 90mm which gets good reviews and isn't too expensive. The AF can be a bit hit unrefined but with macro you are probably better using manual focus anyway.

Dont just read on them, go into a store and handle them, see which one fits you, see which one has controls that make the most sense to you....consider the lens line up..consider what type of photography you want to do....everyone has their opinions on the best camera(s)...but YOU will be the one using whatever it is you wind up with.
