Interesting theme. I have only been doing photography since easter and have not yet taken any night pictures, so I guess this is a good oppertunity to start, I am going away for the weekend in our caravan at Scarborough so there should be oppertunity, might just struggle with subjects in the location the campsite is at, any tips.............

Never been to Scarborough, but I bet if you get to a high point on the coast, you could get a great nighttime photo of the town and bay as it stretches around the coastline.

I live in a sleepy village with nothing interesting going n at nighttime, but my brain is working overtime trying to thief something.

Our campsite is on Lebberston Cliffs, about 1 mile across the bay from Scarborough, I have tried a few times to get day shots from the top as there are great views of Scarborough Prommanade and the castle (which unfortunately is not lit up at night, so out of the question), but they have always been hazy during the day and not sharp as I did not try with a tripod yet. But I am going to take the tripod this time, and try the night shot, fingers crossed. It is a long distance and I need full zoom, even then I'm not sure there will be enough detail to make it interesting enough.
