Just back from a family holiday in Dumfries & Galloway in south west Scotland where we discovered a wonderful tiny uninhabited island - Rough Island - reachable at low water via a causeway from a picturesque village called Kippford. Well, the opportunity was too good to miss so along with the kids and a disposable BBQ (!) I took along my trusty 40D, tripod and remote release to see what I could muster. Here's a couple of snaps, hope you like.
This next one was taken as a 30s exposure using a Haida ND3.0 ten stop filter
the last one is my favourite - love the colour in the sky and the stones in the foreground. i do like the reflection of the sky in the second too :)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just starting to get my head around the 10 stopper so was quite pleased how that 2nd one came out :) cheers G.
