Butterfly macro
hey,
i took this picture in the link below a week ago and just finished editing it :) please tell me what you think of it, what i could have done better in camera, what i could do in ps4 and (this may be odd) if this would be legiable for my school photo competition. the theme is holidays, every single classmate and teacher has said "as long as it was takenin the holidays". your opinions are greatly valued! thank you this is the picture: http://wiggwigg2012.deviantart.com/art/butterfly-322718307 |
wiggwigg it's always better to post your shots directly into your thread instead of just a link as it's easier for people to view it and comment on it .
The image is very well taken with great detail and a lovely soft background that shows the butterfly off to it's best , I feel it's a bit of a shame that the right wing moved just at the wrong time and ended up slightly blurred but technically it's well exposed and the focus is spot on . The only real down side is , no matter how good the shot is it's always going to be an image of a butterfly's backside :) . As far as your schools competition goes , you'll have to go on what your teachers say but in my opinion it's not a holiday theme shot but it is a shot you took while you were on holiday ( not that that helps you much sorry ) . |

Sorry wiggwigg I should of made myself clearer , I don't think you need to do anything else to it , the exposure is fine the focus is good the white balance is right , the only thing you might look at are the thistle heads which are a little dark but to be honest I don't think I would do anything .
