Broken 40D
 

Hi looking for some insight or pointing in the right direction.

After arriving at our holiday destination, I discovered that my 40D was not working correctly. The back LED was blank & when I took a frame it was taking forever to unsuccesfully buffer to the card.

The top LED was fine and showing the battery to be fully charged as well as the usual details. I recharged the main battery and changed the secondary smaller battery but still had the same issues.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Should mention the equipment went through airport x ray don't think that should have effected the body but I mention it anyway.

the quick things to try reseat the card and battery and try again

yup sounds like it might be a problem with the card ( or a bent pin in the card slot )
have you took the card out and switched the camera on to see if the screen comes on ?

I have tried changing the card as well to no avail.

Thing I will have to send it to service centre & see what they think.
