Yet Another What Camera Question
After a few years of not doing any serious photography, well it might be more than a few. I've got the urge to start again.
All my last equipment was Olympus OM (still have) and want to defo move to DSLR. Not complete stranger to digital photography as I've been using Panasonic bridge (OK for what it is). Started doing some reading and 650D seemed ideal for my interests, mainly bird photography and a bit of landscape. Then I discovered its a new model and prices are a bit on the high side. Bit more reading and find that there are a couple of alternatives 600D and 60D with slight differences in price to 650D. Kind of thinking the 650D with the articulated screen and improved AF might be best choice and as I'm not going to buy till towards end of Sept prices might have dropped slightly. As there are not many on 650D its proving difficult to make a decission. Any thoughts/copmments appreciated. |
what about the 7d ?
rated as one of the best cameras for wildlife use |
what about the 7d ?
rated as one of the best cameras for wildlife use
Fair point but price a bit more than I want to spend. |
hi heres my take you could all theses have the same sensor 550d 600d 650d 60d and 7d so like you said you can save money and put it towards a lens
|
And now gets a bit more difficult to decide as the 650D with 18-55 IS lens is already down to £699
|
Looks like the 650D will be finding its way into my hands. Just realised company I work for gives me 10% discount at some of the places selling for £699.
|
Well after handling both the 650D and 60D it soon became apparent that the 650D, which is a good piece of kit, just didn't feel as good in my hands as the slightly larger 60D.
So despite the slightly higher cost 60D is now the choice. |
hope you enjoy fine camera
|
Looking forward to getting soon. Keeping eye on prices.
My company discount may well decide where I get from. |
Excellent choice i have been using 60D for past year my first DSLR after 40 years using film fantastic results
