Sunny weather = high contrast
 
I've been taking advantage of the sunny weather by wandering in the rare sunshine we are having at the moment. The downside photographically is that this means few clouds in the sky so little interest in the sky and high contrast which doesn't work well in colour. So I took photos with a view of converting them to black and white in Silver Efex Pro 2.

Over the Afan valley close to my house:

I really like the second shot and there's no getting away from the fact that the quality of the images is first rate but I'm just not sure that the B&W conversion adds anything to the images .
