Canon 7D probs
 

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and newish to Canon. I have a 7D and I wanted to shoot some athletics so I set the camera to AI Focus AF and snapped away.

All of my images, taken in very good light outdoors, have come out almost pitch black. I can see that they would have been perfect, were it not for the darkness issue.

I'm new to this so I'd really appreciate if anyone can tell me what I did wrong or missed. I followed the instructions in David Busch's book about the 7D, and that's all it said to do to capture fast sports photos.

What mode did you have it on (M,A,TV,P)?
