I'm not overly keen on this shot Alan

I find the composition a bit cramped , I'm not a great lover of vignetting at the best of times but I really don't think it helps at all with this image and I don't think the B&W conversion works particularly well on this subject matter .

Just my thoughts .

Sorry Alan, I have to agree with Mark. I've looked at your Moto GP photos and in my view they are ruined by monochrome conversion and 'colour popping'. This particular one has lost a lot of the dynamism due to it being in black and white,. Moreover the crop and vignette makes the scene claustrophobic, not to mention dull. The vibrant colours in this sport says a lot about the rider the bikes and the racing but here all the tones are similar.

The subject has to suit monochrome and in this case it fails I'm afraid. Also I know it's not easy getting good shots of these guys, I've done it myself a couple of times, so when you've got technically good shots with action why spoil them with this type of treatment?
