Lee filters - filter protection and casing

I just had a basic question regarding Lee filters and filter protection and casing.

It might just be me, but are the black pouches that come with the Lee filters a reasonable long term way to store and protect the filters themselves? They seem incredibly tight and I have to apply a lot of force to remove the filters from the pouch.

When you buy the filters they come with a very thin paper packaging that rips very easily (well mine has) but seemed to protect the filters from scratches and other surface damage.

When I purchased the 3-piece sky blue filter set they came in a much better case; a soft felt pouch.

Should I look to buy another case or form of protection? Im not sure and was wondering what others felt about this.
Thanks in advance

I have a Lowepro filter case for my Formatt filters. I do keep my 10 Stop on the case it came, inside the Lowepro. Sorry, I do not have it handy to get you the model number.
