would i have been better going for full face
|
The image seems a little soft and it is to dark for me, I think the composition is fine but it lacks sharp detail. WIth that sort of shot you need to get the eyes pin sharp for it to work for me.

I really like the composition and I think the subject is perfect for this type of shot but I totally agree with Dave about the focus , the eye needs to be pin sharp then I think you'll have a cracking shot on your hands .
Great effort Mark |
ok lads cheers, next time i get the opportunity i'll focus in on the eyes i think it was because i was trying to be quick but realise that portraits arent about quick shots its about focus...always learning from mistakes but thats the best way i suppose

Portraits are very tricky, getting the right lighting, getting the focus, getting the right expresion and composition. Of course you can't rush it but on the same token unless you are using a professional model you can't take too long otherwise the subject can lose interest especially children. You are right about learning from mistakes, I should know LOL:D |
Sorry, bu I don't see fear there. Perhaps it's just too soft focus when fear should be sharply focused.
