Monitor calibration
 

Following the Article in last months magazine about monitor calibration I went ahead and purchased the Eye One Display2 monitor calibrator.
Very easy to use and there is an excellent video of it's use on you tube.
Just one question... is the calibration setting also transferred to your printer? or does your printer automatically print out exactly whats on the calibrated screen ?

NO - the calibration is just for your monitor. you will need to profile your paper and printer - costs around £15 - but some paper companies supply free profiles so it's worth having a google.
