I'm getting a little fed up with this site.

Every time I come to DCW I find I have to go to my profile before I can select "Forums". This is because my log-on details over write the Forums link.

I'm using W7 & firefox, anyone know a cure, apart from not using DCW.

I agree, I have exactly the same issue one solution is to use something like speed dial in firefox where you can configure your most popular pages and have a direct link to the forum.

It can be downloaded from here

Ideally the web designer should put the logged in user name out of the way of the tabs.

I have a similar problem to yourself, am guessing the site has some bugs. I know from my own experience of using Dreamweaver 8, before uploading the site onto the server, we would check these bugs by using F12. This would allow us to 'view' the page live before posting.

It seems as though this check is not happening for all browsers, a lot of people have had hiccups with Windows 7, and yet we now have a IE10 on the way as well as Windows 8.

Okay updating OS (operating system) is one thing but IE10 is another and is it really supported on W7 or do you have to upgrade? I was quite savvy 10 years ago, now I just feel is their a point or should I just go with Mac.

Thanks for the feedback, will try wavemachines speed dial. Obviously not a major problem, just irritating.

I did not have the problem before FF upgraded to version 11. I do not have the problem when using Chrome (which I normally use but cannot at work).

Well speed dial solves the problem, but we shouldn't have to resort to alternative methods.

Update, it does happen with Chrome too.

I use firefox on win7 and don't have that issue. I go straight to the forum button no problems....

Chrome works fine for me.
Chrome works fine for me.
It is hit and miss. Sometimes it works find on firefox and chrome, sometimes it does not.
