Oh my god , I thought all the rumors about the camera on this thing were just hype , not so apparently . Why lug a DSLR around ??? Mark |
Impressive stuff. How did you manage to focus so close up??? Are these cropped?

Great detail and clarity.

Thanks for the comments, though I did think it might have generated a bit more discussion/interest as regards what is achievable with a cameraphone.
The 2 flower shots aren't cropped. the snail has about 5% cropped off the right side, the beetle and ladybirds have about 1/3 cropped off, the beetle is 2-3mm in length. I got a set of lenses off ebay for about £15 you get a macro, a wide angle and a fisheye lens, they attach to the camera with a little sticky washer over the lens which is magnetic. This doesn't show them properly but gives you an idea, the wide angle is abt 2cm across, the macro is smaller and the fisheye is larger |
Thanks Cathus. I'll definitely look into it. I always have my iphone with me and I think these would be great accessories to have. I had no idea they existed. :)

I'm sure I saw somewhere ( I think it was on the gadget show ) that you can get a cradle for the iphone that allows you to attach full size SLR lenses to it .
No quite sure if this is an advantage or not because you would end up with something the same size as a DSLR but those little lenses look like a great idea for a travel camera and at £15 it's a no brainer . Mark |
Super shots Garry, unbelievable that you can get such detailed shots using a phone. The lens were a bargain as well!!
