Global Rainbow
 

It says I can post events here, so for those of you who don't know .....

"Global Rainbow" is a spectacular outdoor art installation by the American artist Yvette Mattern, consisting of seven parallel lasers representing the colours of the rainbow projected over a long distance.

North Tyneside will stage the UK premiere of "Global Rainbow" from Wednesday 29th February to Sunday 4th March inclusive, 6pm to midnight, to launch the Cultural Olympiad programme in the North East.

It will be projected from St Mary's Headland in Whitley Bay towards the River Tyne, and be visible for miles across the North Tyneside skyline.

OOOOO looks very interesting Paul.

It makes me think of sharks with frikin' laser beams on their heads :)

I like the one on Flickr with the flagpoles in it and the beams coming up behind.

Can see it from my house...quite spectacular...cameras out at some point!

Just took a couple of shots myself from my door and its something very different.
