As a newcomer to photography I would appreciate constructive views on the photos in my gallery

I take photos that I think pleasing but would like to improve on technique etc

I would suggest that you are going to get more feedback if you posted an image or two in the forums and ask for specific C&C.

Of the 4 shots in your gallery I like the bindweed most, by quite a margin. It's well lit, nice and sharp and works well in black and white. Personally I would crop the image so that the weed is perfectly in the middle as it is ever so slightly to the left and slightly higher than centre.
Having said that, I think it's well shot and well conceived.

Tnaks for the encouraging comments, I feel now that at least I m doing something right.
Your own gallery especially the bird photos are in my opinion very good, something for me to strive for.
