Young POTY 2009
 

My son cant be a member here as he is only 12, but he wants to know how will he know if any of his images have been selected,

There does not seem to be much around about Young POTY but these are the up and coming photographers of the future, and this competition is just as important to them as the adult one

There was no voting at all on the Young POTY site, no comments nothing

As a parent i have a whinging boy who keeps running off with my D300 and kit although he does have 2 camera of his own they are not creative enough for him

Please can we give more attention and support to our younger photographers

I am in the same situation here, my 14 year old daughter is holding her breath waiting for the results. I cant take her complaining much longer LOL.

Totally agree - no details no idea when we will know anything. I too have a 12 year old who is cheesed off !

I have also been eagerly awaiting the shortlist for Young POTY. I just called the Magazine and they said they were sorry about the delay and they will [U]hopefully[/U] have the shortlist up on the site this friday.

i think its great that the younger generation is getting more interested in photography. i never got involved until i was in my 20s. some of the entries are outstanding, i wish everyone good luck and for those that dont make it never give up!

well i have been away for the week, and still no news on young poty as if its to be dismissed and not important

mt son eagerly awaits news , when will we have the editors choice for this not just future magazine buyers but potentially our next generation of photographers , I feel they should get the same credits as the poty 2009 adults class
