advice on business cards!

Hi everyone :)

I have been searching all last night for a nice company that do business cards, but have not really found one. However I stumbled across a online company called cards made easy. Do you know anything about them or ordered business cards from them?

Appreciate the help :)

There seem to be plenty of them out there.....

Vistaprint are probably the biggest and have been around for a long time - doesn't necessarily mean they're the best but they're popular.

Cards Made Easy seem very competitive.... lots of quite good templates too.

MOO seem a little more innovative.

Many, many more, though. Sadly for the UK, the vast majority are subsidiaries of US companies.

My wife used Vistaprint. She was not happy with the print quality on the first batch and they sent corrected ones no problem.

if you only need say a 100 at a time it's easy enough to make your own
if you need 500+ as stated there are plenty of companies on the net

over the years iv'e made up a few and it's quite easy just make a template on a4 sized sheet you will get 10 to a page so 10 pages is a hundred cards i find a colour laser printer the best to print from on plain white card
once you have your print if you want that glossy look use a laminator but cut the underside of the laminating sheet off before you put it through the laminator the remaining top sheet should stick to the card quite nicely

all you need to do now is cut them to size i use a small guillotine
the results are quite effective and cost pennies if you only want a few
large amounts arn't worth doing this way your better off having them made

Thanks for the reply guys!

I have looke up on visa print and have seen quite bad reviews about them, so I don't think im going to go for them. I would make my own but i would rather get it professionally made :)

I looked more into cardsmadeeasy and also found a good deal :D They are giving out 50% of business cards :) That is great news for me :)

Vista print is ok, if you are looking for a photo card. Just follow these simple rules. (1) before you order, go to hotmail or google or yahoo and open up a new e-mail address. Use that address for Vistaprint and then after you get your cards, don't ever go there again. (2) when you order, do the self designed, upload your photo and information and DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING but the card. Everything else is terribly overpriced and that is where they zing you. I have ordered from them many times, and each time, I go in as a new customer, design my card, have it shipped and then ignore that e-mail address forever.

Wes

These are two of the cards I use:

Good advice Wes. Don't they target the email address that you put on your card, or aren't they that clever?

I have ordered lots of cards from them, using a throw-away e-mail and they have never sent anything to my regular address. I guess they are too busy spamming to bother to read.
