Tynemouth Priory across the bay
 

Last sunrise of the year so I thought I would get up early again. Met up with a few other photographers that I met on Flickr and went down to Tynemouth (on the coast next to Newcastle upon Tyne for those living further afield).

Photo shows Tynemouth Priory on the horizon and the Tyne's North Pier.

Just missed a lovely sunset tonight here in the North-east, bah, me and my bad back.

Another very atmospheric shot , great detail and lighting in the foreground rocks .

What is the building in silhouette on the head land , looks like some kind of ruins .

Cheers Mark. Yeah, that's[URL="http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/daysout/properties/tynemouth-priory-and-castle/"] Tynemouth Priory[/URL] which stands at the mouth of the Tyne.
