I'm back!
I sent the administrator an email on Monday because I couldn't login to my account, PolarMagnus. Then I sent another one. I didn't get a reply so I decided to create a new account.
What happened to my thread 'Water Droplets' or at least it was something like that. |

Also what you can try, which I got onto this new forum by putting your user name in with no password, then change your password after you have logged in.

Thanks didn't think about doing that. Nevermind, I'm going to use this one now. I like my new name. And it ties in what I put on the copyright on my photos. |
I think they would have been better off getting everyone to re-register as obviously the database they imported was screwed.
Just my tuppence worth |

Just my tuppence worth[/QUOTE]The odd thing is that it was only for some users. Really when you do a migration like this /GEEKMODE you export the data from one data base and import it to another. Since both are running the same software (the forum software - albeit different versions) the data structures should be the same (first field is username on both, second is real name, etc) so the import SHOULD work for all or none. So something very odd must have happened for some users to have a problem and others to not. /GEEKMODE Tracking down problems like this are a big pain. |
