Loughrigg Tarn

For some reason both my username and my first post were deleted in the changeover of the website. So I'll try again:

The weather was pretty good today and I found myself in one of my favourite places, Loughrigg tarn

I waited as the sun set and this shot was taken just over an hour after sunset, it's amazing how much light remains in the sky so long after sun set

I really like the first one, its well exposed, lovely composition and the landscape is so scenic. I think the second one is just a bit too dark for me though. Its too difficult to pick anything of interest out.

Two cracking shots with great details. Shame the sky wasn't a bit more red in the first shot. Love the second and it has great reflections in the Tarn. :D

Th first one seems washed out to me
I like teh second one.

A beautiful scene and the snow covered mountains make a fantastic backdrop , the subtle colouring makes it look more like an early morning shot rather than an afternoon shot , I really like the second image but I think Karen is right about it being just a tinny bit too dark in the shadowed areas .

I think the first shot looks better like this.

I will delete this if you wish
