Main body / Reserve

I am currently using a Canon5D mkI as my main camera body. As I can't resist a bargain on Ebay I have bought a 7D and associated lenses which will arrive in the next couple of days. My dilemma is which to use as the main body and which as backup? Suggestions welcome

considering the 5d is full frame and the 7d is aps-c i'd just use them accordingly
use the 7d for sport , wildlife etc.. and the 5d for portraits , landscapes etc..

i have the 5d and the 50d and it's basically what i do with them i don't really consider either one as backup body

I've got a 5D2 and a 7D and while there is some cross over with what I shoot, I generally use the 7D for wildlife, aircraft and sports related and the 5D2 for everything else. The 5 series and the 7 series make ideal complimentary bodies, you will be better off buying EF lenses if possible though so you can interchange lenses. I got a 24-105 f4 L with the 5D2 and it's on the 7D half the time.

the 7d is great for sport and high burst rate the 5d is for portraits that said the 7d is the new of the 2

I have a 5d MkII and a 1D MkIV, I use the 1D MkIV for sports and aviation and the 5D MkII for everything else.
