Remote Timer

Hello,

I would like to purchase a remote timer to have a go at time lapse photography. Not sure which one to go for though. I have a Canon 7D (with n3 connector) but do not want to spend as much as the Canon timer.

I have been looking at the Aputure and Pixel version at £40 off Amazon. There are cheaper ones (£15) but they have mixed reviews.

Has anyone got one of these or others which they would recommend or pooh pooh.

Cheers

Thanks guys. I have looked into the shoot as well.
There a few comments mention the need to hack at the connector to get it to fit.
Did you have any problems? What cameras do you have?

I had no problems and I also have a 7D

I had an Aputure remote for my Nikon D80, which worked well, dirt cheap from Hong Kong. My D300s has one built in, surprised the 7D doesn't. :)

Works great.

I've been looking to buy one of these timer remotes ( from SHOOT or LCD or APUTURE ) but there seems to be a lot of reviews complaining about the plug damaging the socket on the camera , now I'm only reading the reviews for the Nikon D90 compatible version so if anyone has any experience with this problem I would be very grateful to hear about it .

Many thanks.

Mark
