Nissin Di866 Problems...
 

Hi all,

I own the aforementioned flashgun and I am having problems with it and wondered if anyone else has had the same?

The problems I am having are;

The unit simply freezes, none of the controls respond and can't even be turned off unless the batteries are removed.

The red beam doesn't seem to function either when shooting in low light conditions so making it effectively useless in low light.

As far as I know the firmware is up to date and also as far as I know there's nothing wrong with my Nikon D5000.

Any thoughts?

Is it out of warranty? I would send it back. Its sounds faulty to me.

I'm not sure actually, I bought the original one 2nd hand off ebay but when it started playing up Kenro (the UK distributors) replaced it for a brand new one as it was from a faulty batch.

I'm trying to get some response from them at the moment but the guy in question is on holiday uintil next week so we'll see what happens then.
